The Internet and World Wide Web were made for Network Marketing ... Or is it the other way around? There was a time that I would never have recommended a Network Marketing company. My problem was not with the marketing model itself. I always found that to be very attractive and sound. It was, in my mind, a great way to let the average person create a business that would provide financial freedom. My problem with it was that I felt it was being implemented in the wrong way. I was never able to find a company that would enable me to offer high-quality products at truly competitive prices. Why should I buy, or try to sell, a product for $5.00 that anyone could purchase in their local store for $2.50? It just didn't make sense to me. Sure, I know that the companies always said that their products were far superior to what people would buy in stores. Sorry, I just didn't think they were that superior! Well, guess what? Things have changed! The Internet and World Wide Web were made for true network marketing because that's what the web is all about - networking! Everyone on the net is marketing! It may not be "hard" products. It may be "ideas" or "opinions" or "artwork" or "information" that they are selling. But, make no mistake, everyone is selling. That's what we do when we interact with others. We try to "sell" them on the value of interacting with "us". We're saying, "Hey - I've got something cool to share with you, listen up!". The more passionate we are about something, the more we are able to "sell" it. And now, there are a few network marketing companies that finally "get it". With the advent of multi-tiered Affiliate programs, the changes made by many MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) companies and other consumer-direct marketing plans, there are finally some legitimate home business opportunities that fulfill the original promise of MLM - that literally ANYONE can succeed in building a home-based business that provides a very good income without having to personally take orders, ship products, keep inventory on hand or perform any of the other distasteful tasks that running a direct marketing operation can entail.
